Hart’s presents sausage-making, butchery classes

OK, meat-loving locavores, nowadays it’s not that hard to buy local meat and know where your meat is coming from. You can find it on a map, and maybe you have even met the farmer at the market or visited the pasture where your future dinner once grazed.
But do you know where that mouthwatering muscle is situated on the animal, and how it was carved from the bone?
Beef Butchery Classes
Learn how to break down a fore-quarter of beef at home. Our butchers will teach you all of the techniques, and you’ll go home with 5 lbs of beef.
$90 per person. Classes are limited to 10 people each, and run 1-2 hours.
Pork Butchery Classes
Learn how to break down a side of pork at home. Our butcher will teach you all of the techniques, and you’ll go home with 5-6 lbs of pork product.
$65 per person. Classes are limited to 10 people each, and run 1-2 hours.
Sausage Making Classes
Learn everything you need to know to make your own sausages at home. Techniques covered include mixing and grinding, types of casings, safe handling measures, and tips for cooking. Plus you’ll go home with 3 lbs of sausage (that you made!)
$35 per person. Classes are limited to 10 people each, and run 1-2 hours. All tools and supplies provided.
